ETHIA

Ethia Privacy Policy

Effective September 26, 2026

What Ethia stores on your device

Ethia stores saved stories, reading position, listening position and interface preferences locally on your device. The current app does not require an account and does not upload those choices as a personal listening profile.

Catalogue and media requests

Ethia uses Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage to retrieve the published story catalogue, artwork and narration. These requests necessarily share connection information such as your IP address and the requested resource with the service delivering the content. A request for a particular story file can reveal which content is being retrieved.

Google describes its processing in Firebase’s privacy documentation.

Analytics and advertising

Ethia does not include advertising or a behavioural analytics SDK in the current release. Althia does not sell your reading or listening activity.

Support

If you email althiastudios@gmail.com, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer and troubleshoot your request. Do not send passwords or payment details.

Deleting information

You can remove saved items inside Ethia. Removing the app deletes its local Ethia data, subject to your device and backup settings. Firebase and hosting providers may retain operational logs according to their own retention practices.

Children and educational use

Ethia is a general-audience history app. It is not directed specifically to children under 13 and does not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit personal information.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when Ethia’s data practices materially change. Contact althiastudios@gmail.com with privacy questions or applicable data-rights requests.
